1. Introduction

Meni World ("Meni World", "we", "us" or "our") designs, builds and maintains custom software - web applications, ERP systems, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms and cloud infrastructure - for clients in Bangladesh and internationally. This Privacy Policy applies to meniworld.com (the "Site") and explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

By browsing the Site or submitting information through one of our forms (contact, get-started, career applications), you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit your information to us.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly

  • Contact & project enquiries (Contact page, "Get Started" and quick-contact forms): your full name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, service of interest and the project details or message you share with us.
  • Career applications (Careers & job listing pages): your full name, email, phone number, city, experience level, portfolio/LinkedIn URL, notice period, cover letter, and your CV/résumé file.
  • Anything else you choose to share when corresponding with us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

b) Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers automatically log standard technical data when you visit - IP address, browser type and version, device/operating system, pages viewed, referring page, and date/time. This is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding how the Site is used, and is not linked to your identity unless you also submit a form.

c) Cookies and similar technologies - see Section 4 below.

We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers, national ID/passport numbers, or other sensitive data through this Site. Please avoid including such details in your messages to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and prepare quotes, proposals or project updates
  • Review job applications and contact candidates about open roles
  • Operate, secure and improve the Site, including spam and fraud prevention (such as the maths-captcha on our forms)
  • Send you information you have specifically requested
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

We do not send marketing or promotional emails unless you have separately opted in to receive them, and we only use your information for the purposes described here or communicated to you at the time of collection.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use two categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies - required for core site functions such as session handling and security (CSRF protection). These cannot be switched off, as the Site will not function correctly without them.
  • Functional / performance cookies - help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers on this Site; if that changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required by law.

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site - such as submitting a form - from working correctly.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Site and our business (e.g. hosting/cloud infrastructure, email delivery) - bound by confidentiality and permitted to use your data only to provide that service to us
  • Our own team members directly involved in responding to your enquiry or evaluating your application
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent fraud or harm
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to the same privacy commitments described here

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:

Data type Typical retention
Contact / project enquiries Up to 24 months, or until the enquiry is resolved
Job applications & CVs Up to 12 months after the hiring decision
Signed contracts & project records Duration of engagement plus applicable legal/tax requirements
Server & security logs Typically 90 days

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

7. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, access controls limiting who on our team can view submitted data, and secure hosting infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security - please avoid sending highly sensitive information (passwords, financial account details) through our contact forms.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you are located - including under the GDPR for EU/UK residents and similar laws in other regions - you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@meniworld.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

9. International Data Transfers

Meni World is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a branch in Bogura, and we work with clients across the USA, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and beyond. Submitting information through our Site may involve transferring it to, and storing or processing it in, Bangladesh or countries where our hosting and service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to receive an adequate level of protection.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted here. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
